The El Monte City School District will be hosting in-person registration for the 2021-2022 school year at the Registration Center (located across the street from the District Office) from July 6th through July 29th. For questions, call (626) 453-3744 or click button for more information.

Cortada School will be hosting another COVID-19 vaccine pop-up on Friday, July 30th from 3pm - 8pm. Anyone ages 12 and up are eligible to receive a vaccine. Appointments and health insurance are NOT required. Click headline for more details.

The El Monte City School District will launch new TK-Kinder Readiness Program later this summer. The District is excited to announce that the program received a $100,000 LA County Learning Initiative grant from the California Community Foundation. Click headline to see full news release.

The Child Tax Credit, part of the American Rescue Plan, is here to help families raising children make ends meet. All working families will get the full credit if they make up to $150,000 for a couple or $112,500 for a family with a single parent (also called head of household). The tax credit has been expanded to $3,000 per child 6-17 years old and $3,600 per child under 6. Click headline for more information.

As part of their End-of-the-Year festivities, the El Monte City School District held a drive-up celebration for their new retirees. The latest crop to cap their dry-erase markers were greeted with cheers and gifts as they said farewell to their colleagues. The District also honored service pin honorees as part of the celebration.
